Undoubtedly you’ve heard all the commotion around cloud computing and how it’s the “next big thing.” Well the truth is that it is the next big thing and for many companies it is already the current thing because they have implemented cloud solutions and are now reaping the benefits. If you are reading this then clearly you are doing your research, collecting information and learning as much as you can about cloud computing. One can never know enough about a topic especially when it has the potential of impacting a sound decision.
Business owners and company executives like you are asked to be miracle workers and pull rabbits out of hats day after day. If you happen to make a bad decision it will not only impact your company’s bottom line but your job and reputation may depend on it too. If you make a good decision, well then they say that you are “just doing your job” and unfortunately nobody really notices. This is an unfortunate state of affairs but we are here to help you be in the “good decision” category.
That is why we produced a short video you will find on the left hand column called “What Is Cloud Computing?”. It is an excellent starting point on your journey to fully understanding cloud computing. Cloud computing is not a good fit for every company; and if you don’t get all the facts or fully understand the pros and cons, you can end up making some very poor and expensive decisions that you’ll deeply regret later.
For some companies, implementing cloud technology can actually lower their IT costs from 30% to as much as 90%, greatly improve the ability for remote workers to connect and work, simplify their entire IT infrastructure and genuinely solve a number of technology problems that they’ve been trying to work around for years.
